ST. LUCIE CLERK EMPLOYEES ANNOUNCE 2017 CHARITIES
FORT PIERCE, FLA. (Jan. 9, 2017) – Deputy Clerks at the St. Lucie County Clerk’s office selected four local charities to benefit from their fundraising in 2017. Each quarter, one charity will receive a monetary donation and volunteer support at an upcoming event or activity.
The employees chose M.I.S.S. of the Treasure Coast, Boys & Girls Clubs of St. Lucie County, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and St. Lucie Habitat for Humanity.
The Clerk’s office has a long-standing history of supporting charities throughout the Treasure Coast. Employees have donated more than $155,000 and volunteered countless hours for worthy causes. The monies are raised through numerous office activities and the Dress Down Friday program, which allows employees to dress in jeans on Fridays in exchange for a $40 annual donation.
Quarter 1: M.I.S.S. of the Treasure Coast provides housing and support services to single female head of households who are extremely low income. M.I.S.S. is committed to alleviating the needs of disadvantaged families by empowering single mothers to gain self-sufficiency.
Quarter 2: The Boys & Girls Clubs of St. Lucie County’s mission is to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. The Boys & Girls Clubs of St. Lucie County has more than 3,000 members and serves more than 6,000 kids a year.
Quarter 3: Big Brothers Big Sisters is the nation’s largest donor and volunteer-supported mentoring network. The non-profit leader makes meaningful, monitored matches between adult volunteers (Bigs) and children (Littles), ages 4-18, in communities across the country. They develop positive relationships that have a direct and lasting effect on the lives of young people.
Quarter 4: St. Lucie Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope. Habitat for Humanity includes home builders, home renovators, and community builders while busting poverty.

My son was convicted of a 2nd degree felony and violation of probation. He was looking at 16 years in prison. We had nowhere to turn, when Jordi was recommended to us. He began to represent my son immediately. It was a long grueling year, but Jordi was able to get the charges reduced to misdemeanor and withhold of adjudication (no conviction). My son did not serve any jail time; nor was he given probation.
Jordi did an excellent job representing my son and was always there for us. He went above and beyond his duties as a lawyer and his caring demeanor set him a step above the rest. We will always be grateful for what he did!
I am writing to thank you for the tremendous job you did for me. You were honest about my situation and handled everything with professionalism. The results of your hard work were better than I could have hoped. As you know, I have referred you to several friends. They were equally pleased. Thank you my friend.

Jordi was an amazing lawyer and friend to me. A month ago I had a warrant for my arrest. With no bond and no money. I did not know what to do. I contacted Jordi, remembering he had told me a few years back that he was a lawyer. I did not know what to expect. Not only did he not judge me for what I had done, he took care of the situation that day. We went to court and he made such an impression with the judge and the district attorney that they did not deny his plea nor did they ask any questions. I was so amazed. I thought I was going to jail. Jordi drove down to west palm in a hurricane warning to help me. I have had lawyers in the past and they never took action with such swiftness. Not only is Jordi a great lawyer he is a great person who actually cares about people. Not to judge other lawyers but my experience has been they really just care about the money. Not Jordi, he actually cares about the person. He said something to me that I will never forget I don't believe in bad people; people make mistakes.
